Moving your R44 is now Quicker and Easier than ever. A single “twist grip”
control coupled to a gas powered hydrostatic drive gives the operator
total control to safely re-position your helicopter… at a snails pace
or a fast walk.
|
Quality and functional simplicity is prevalent through out
the ROBIN tow cart design. Believing that informed
buyers opt for equipment that will remain serviceable years
after the purchase... proven off
the shelf components are used extensively.
|
Robin Aviation's president is an R44 owner-pilot,
with 30 plus years in the machine manufacturing
business. "We took our time and
our customers confirm we got it right!" |

|
| CONSTANT POWER |
| The hydrostatic drive system, powered by a Quick Starting, 6 HP OHV all weather Briggs & Stratton gasoline engine, provides a constant level of power. NO NEED for a pilot to start up and hover to the fuel pump or for a long move down the ramp. (Efficiency and safety) Uses Auto or AV gas. |
|
DURABILITY & STEADY POWER |
By combining proven off the shelf components we met our goal of setting the industry standard for a rugged, simple and safe cart that will give years of trouble free service after the initial purchase... and at a reasonable price. |
|
TWIST GRIP CONTROL |
Forward, reverse and speed over ground is managed by the single twist grip control. Both hands can remain on the tee bar handle while maneuvering the helicopter. |
|
SPEED |
From a slow crawl to a quick walk... operator dependent. |
|
SAFETY |
Releasing the Twist Grip engages the hydrostatic "spring center to brake" feature, instantly stopping and holding the cart in place. An engine kill switch is located on the handle for use when the cart is left unattended. |
|
BIG MOUTH LIFTING HEAD |
With a 400% larger lead-in area, aligning the lift head ball socket under the "towing ball" becomes a far less tedious task. Unlike an electro-mechanical tow ball locking mechanism, ROBINS MANUALLY INSERTED locking pins assure a positive cart-to-helicopter connection throughout the maneuvering process. This is an important feature because, IF NOT PROPERLY SECURED, a sudden stop COULD cause a helicopter's nose to lurch upward, disengage from the tow ball socket and damage the ship's underbelly. |
|
LIFTING POWER |
The manual 3-TON HYDRAULIC JACK makes short work of lifting and lowering the helicopter. |
| |
POSITIVE TRACTION |
The dual front wheel drive and gasoline engine produce the power and
traction necessary for maneuvering an R44-R22 over snow covered ramps or firm grassy surfaces.
Snow chains are an available option. |
|
|
ALL WEATHER OPERATION |
FULL POWER and quick starts are assured with the reliable all-weather Briggs & Stratton gasoline engine. NO marginal battery power. NO slow tows. Dual snow chains are an available option. |
|
RELIABILITY |
For long term reliability, SIMPLICITY trumps complexity every time, thus the ROBIN Tow Cart DOES NOT have: gears, chains, sprockets, brake levers, shift levers, "synchronized" circuitry, multiple batteries, automatic battery chargers, battery monitors, battery chargers, LED lights, solar panels, complex wire circuits, speed control knobs or electro-mechanical ball-locking pins which can fail and cause damage to the helicopter's belly.
With a Robin cart: Just pull the starter cord, twist the grip and off you go at full power. So simple. |
|
WHEEL STOWAGE |
When not in use, the helicopter wheels are conveniently stowed parallel to the ground by inserting the posts into the holes provided on each side of the cart. |
